Self-esteem is a crucial factor in our mental health and well-being. When we have a healthy level of self-esteem, we are more confident, resilient, and able to cope with life's challenges. However, many people struggle with low self-esteem, which can lead to feelings of insecurity, anxiety, and depression. Fortunately, there are many excellent books that can help you build and maintain a healthy level of self-esteem that can work as great tools for reflection alongside therapy and counselling.

1. The Six Pillars of Self-Esteem by Nathaniel Branden: This classic book is a comprehensive guide to building and maintaining healthy self-esteem. Branden identifies six key pillars of self-esteem, including self-acceptance, self-responsibility, and self-assertiveness, and provides practical strategies for developing each one. 2. The Gifts of Imperfection by Brené Brown: In this book, Brown explores the concept of "wholehearted living" and how embracing our imperfections can lead to greater self-esteem and happiness. She provides practical advice for cultivating self-compassion, courage, and resilience. 3. Mindset: The New Psychology of Success by Carol S. Dweck: In this book, Dweck explores the concept of "fixed" versus "growth" mindsets and how they affect our self-esteem and success. She provides strategies for shifting from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset, which can lead to greater confidence and achievement. 4. The Self-Esteem Workbook by Glenn R. Schiraldi: This workbook provides practical exercises and activities for building and maintaining healthy self-esteem. It includes strategies for identifying and challenging negative self-talk, building self-acceptance, and developing positive coping skills. 5. The Confidence Gap by Russ Harris: In this book, Harris explores the concept of confidence and how it relates to self-esteem. He provides practical strategies for building confidence, including mindfulness and acceptance-based approaches. Are there other books you feel should be on this list?
