Nadine Cortez
Registered Psychotherapist - Qualifying (she/her)
Nadine holds a Masters of Counselling Psychology and has previously completed a Bachelor of Forensic Science (Honours). She has previously worked in retail, research, and first-responding roles, and these experiences have allowed her to demonstrate empathy, support, collaboration, and intervention skills. Her goal is to create a space where you’re able to build coping strategies, strengthen relationships, overcome a feeling of “stuck” and navigate transitions and self growth.
Nadine’s approach comes with a trauma- and culturally-informed perspective, and pulls from Narrative, CBT, EMDR, Attachment and Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Parts Work, and she ensures flexibility in how this applies to your goals. She works with individuals and couples and her areas of interest are relationships, identity and self-esteem, trauma, immigrant mental health, and mood (stress, depression, anxiety).
