Why Adult ADHD Often Goes Missed
ADHD doesn’t disappear when childhood ends — but many adults grow up undiagnosed. Especially for women, people of colour, or high achievers, ADHD is often misunderstood as laziness, mood issues, or “just stress.”
At Fika, we understand ADHD as more than focus and attention. It’s about executive function, nervous system regulation, and how your brain processes and relates to the the world. No masking required here!
04
Modalities We Use
ADHD coaching strategies, CBT, ACT, DBT skills, narrative therapy, IFS or Parts Work, EMDR for past shame/trauma, mindfulness, expressive arts, and nervous system work. Your therapist will let you know what they draw from.
06
ADHD doesn’t have to hold you back.
With the right support, you can build systems that work for your brain, not against it, while unlearning beliefs, unraveling shame, and feeling empowered.
