EMDR Therapy for Trauma, Anxiety & Healing

If painful memories, triggers, or overwhelming emotions keep resurfacing, EMDR therapy can help your brain and body process safely - at your pace. Our specialized trauma-trained therapists guide this work with compassion and care.
Our EMDR Therapy Approach
01
Does this sound like you?
-
A memory, image, or event keeps replaying no matter how hard you try to move on
 -
Small triggers set off overwhelming emotions or body reactions
 -
You feel stuck in “survival mode,” even when you want to feel safe
 -
Traditional talk therapy hasn’t given you the relief you’re looking for

If this feels familiar, EMDR therapy can help.
03
Safe, Neuroaffirming EMDR Therapy
At Fika, we combine EMDR with trauma-trained, neuroaffirming care.
That means:
-
We move at your pace — never faster than your nervous system feels ready for
 -
We start with stabilization and grounding tools so you feel safe before processing
 -
We integrate EMDR with approaches like Polyvagal theory, attachment work, and parts work (ego states)

05
What to Expect
In your first sessions, we’ll:
-
Build safety and trust together
 -
Learn grounding tools for when emotions feel overwhelming
 -
Identify memories, triggers, or themes you’d like to work on
 -
Begin EMDR processing once you feel ready.

Each session is guided, collaborative, and focused on what feels safe for you.
02
Understanding EMDR Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess overwhelming experiences so they no longer feel “stuck.”
Instead of re-living trauma, EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (eye movements, tapping, or sounds) while you recall experiences in a safe, guided way.
Over time, the memory loses its intense emotional charge, allowing you to feel calmer and more present.

What EMDR Can Support With

Trauma & PTSD / C-PTSD

06
You don’t have to stay stuck in the past.
EMDR therapy can help you process trauma safely and move toward healing.
