Why This Season Feels So Heavy

Pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting bring enormous changes — in body, mind, relationships, and identity. Even when it’s joyful, it can also feel lonely, exhausting, or overwhelming. For many parents, past trauma or perfectionism makes this stage even harder.

At Fika, we understand that perinatal and parenting challenges don’t mean you’re failing. They mean you need care and support — and you deserve it.

Modalities We Use

EMDR, trauma-focused CBT, ACT, DBT skills, Polyvagal-informed therapy, attachment-focused, parenting-based coaching, mindfulness, expressive arts, breathwork, IFS and parts work (ego states).

We are available to meet virtually with individuals in the province of Ontario, Saskatchewan, Nunavut, British Columbia, Manitoba and Alberta for counselling therapy at this time. Please note, this is clinician dependent.
