Therapy for Cultural Identity, Belonging & Self-Discovery

Navigating who you are — across cultures, communities, and identities — can be both meaningful and overwhelming. Our therapists provide trauma-trained, affirming support to help you explore identity, belonging, and self-acceptance.
01
Does this sound like you?
-
Feeling caught between cultures or worlds, not fully belonging in either
 -
Struggling with expectations from family, community, or culture
 -
Experiencing racism, discrimination, or microaggressions that impact self-esteem
 -
Exploring intersectional identities (cultural, sexual, gender, neurodivergent)
 -
Wanting a safe space to process identity without judgment or pressure

If this feels familiar, therapy can give you space to explore, heal, and connect with your authentic self.

-
Explore what identity and belonging mean to you
 -
Create a safe space to process cultural, family, or systemic pressures
 -
Begin building self-compassion, clarity, and connection

You’ll leave knowing you don’t have to navigate this journey alone.
02
Identity Is Complex — and Worth Exploring
Cultural identity is shaped by family, history, migration, traditions, and lived experience. It can bring pride and belonging — but also conflict, pressure, or confusion.
At Fika, we understand that exploring cultural identity isn’t about choosing one “box.” It’s about making sense of your story, finding where you feel at home, and being affirmed in your full identity.
04
Modalities We Use
EMDR, trauma-focused CBT, ACT, DBT skills, Polyvagal-informed therapy, attachment-focused, mindfulness, expressive arts, breathwork, IFS and parts work (ego states).
Your therapist will let you know what they draw from.
