Understanding ADHD in Children
ADHD isn’t about being “bad” or “lazy.” It’s about how a child’s brain is wired to process attention, emotion, and energy.
Without support, ADHD can impact school, friendships, and self-esteem.

At Fika, we see ADHD as a lens our brains see the world through, not a disorder to "fix" — and we help families build skills, compassion, and systems that work.
04
Modalities We Use
ADHD coaching strategies, CBT, ACT, DBT skills, narrative therapy, IFS or Parts Work, EMDR for past shame/trauma, mindfulness, expressive arts, and nervous system work. Your therapist will let you know what they draw from.
06
ADHD doesn’t have to hold you back.
With the right support, we can build systems that work for our brains, not against them, while unlearning beliefs, unraveling shame, and feeling empowered.
